Solo Surf Holidays: Come Alone, Catch Your First Wave
Learning to surf on your own is one of the best things you can do solo — a shared beginners' lesson is an instant icebreaker, and there is no better leveller than everyone falling off together. The only bit that is nicer with company is dinner, and a hosted week sorts that.
Is a surf holiday a good idea for a solo traveller?
Ideal, actually. A group lesson throws you in with others straight away, so the usual solo awkwardness never gets started. And at Casa Agara you come back each evening to a shared table, so you surf by day and socialise by night.
Do I need any experience or a surf buddy?
Neither. Beginner lessons take you from zero, gear included, on gentle sandy beaches — and you will make surf buddies in the water within the hour.
Is there a single supplement?
No forced one — twin-share at no extra charge, or an optional room of your own, on the Spice Escapes weeks (ATOL-protected on the flight-inclusive packages).
What if I want a quiet day out of the water?
Then walk the coast or the valley, or do nothing by the river. The surf is there when you want it, not a duty.
