How joining a week works.

Can I come on my own, or must I book the whole house?

You come on your own — most people do. You join a scheduled group week as an individual, and the house is fully hosted and catered, so there's no whole-house booking and nothing to organise. You arrive solo and leave having shared a table, a valley and a week with the group.

Is there a single supplement?

Not a forced one. Solo guests can twin-share at no extra charge — you are matched with a same-sex room-mate, and if no match is found the room supplement is covered for you. Prefer a room entirely to yourself? That is available as an optional supplement, clearly priced. Tell us your week and we will confirm the exact terms.

Is Casa Agara self-catering or catered?

Fully catered — never self-catering. Casa Agara is hosted half board: your hosts live on site, cooking breakfast and a home-cooked dinner every day, with vegetables from the house's own garden. You never arrive to an empty kitchen.

What does half board include?

Breakfast and a home-cooked dinner every day, with vegetables from our own garden, and every drink from the house (wine, beer and local spirits) included. Lunch is usually a picnic or on the trail, as groups are out for the day.

Who runs the weeks?

Each week is hosted by a tour operator who brings the programme, while your host looks after the house itself. Casa Agara is operator-agnostic — any walking, cycling, riding, yoga or activity operator can run a week here. Spice Escapes are our longest-standing partner, hosting weeks here since 2023, not our only one.

What's the best month to visit?

There's no bad month. Late spring and summer are for the coast and long light; September and October bring the deer rut and autumn colour; winter means empty trails and the fireplace. Green Spain is green because it rains, so come ready for weather in any season.
